| You’ll
need:
A
table (optional)
A
large piece of heavy cardboard that stands up
Tempera paint and brushes
Three
dry, round sponges or tennis balls
Duct tape or sidewalk chalk
Set
up and play:
Make
the cardboard stand up by attaching it to a frame or
by cutting the back off a big box so it only has three
sides. A science fair display board also will work (available
at office supply stores).
Cut
a hole (or holes) in the cardboard. The holes should
twice as big as the sponges or balls.
Paint
a design on the cardboard using the hole(s) as part
of the design. (For example, the holes could the mouths
of clowns or dinosaurs.)
Stand
the target up on the table or the ground. It is best
to have the holes at eye level.
Mark
a line on the ground about 10 feet from the target using
duct tape or sidewalk chalk.
Players
stand behind the line and throw the three sponges or
balls through the holes. One or two throws through a
hole (you decide) wins a prize.
