You'll need:
A large,
open area
Sidewalk
chalk or construction paper and paints
A CD or
tape player
CDs or
cassette tapes
A
fishbowl or clear jar big enough to reach into
25-30
small slips of paper or poker chips
Cookies,
at least three different types
A table
for the cookies
Set up and
play:
Have each
member of your carnival committee bring in a dozen cookies on the day of your
carnival.
Draw a
large circle on the ground. Write or make numbers to place randomly around the
circle. Make sure the numbers won't move when people walk on them. You should
have between 25 and 30 numbers around the circle.
Write
each number on a slip of paper or poker chip and put them in the fishbowl.
To begin
each game, players gather around the circle, standing on a number.
When the
music begins, the group begins moving clockwise around the circle, stepping on
the numbers.
After a
minute or so, stop the music. Players stop on the number closest to them.
Blindly
select a number from the fishbowl. The person standing on that number chooses
their cookie. If no one is on that number, there is no winner for that round.
